The handler was developed because we saw the need for a replacement charging handle for the SCAR® NRCH (non reciprocating charging handle). The folding charging handle is made out of aircraft grade aluminum and anodized to mil spec type III, class 2. There is a ball detent that keeps the handle folded in when not in use. This will only work with the NRCH (non reciprocating charging handle) model

Because of the way FN designed the mounting of the charging handle into the sled and carrier, there is inherent play in the OEM handle. Through the development of this folding charging handle there were several options tried to eliminate this movement. Unfortunately the only way to get the smooth pull like the OEM it has to stay loose. So this one will have the same movement like the OEM.
